Hither Dither & Yon performs at the Hudson Valley Mayfaire in New Paltz, NY this weekend, May 2 and 3.

If you feel like taking a fun road trip, come to this fun faire that benefits the Queens Closet. (the Queens Closet is a non profit organization that not only distributes food to those in need but teaches classes to those same people on how to feed a family good balanced meals on a very low income)

We plan on having a la la la lovely time!!!

I know this isn't the kind of thing everyone prefers to read on a place like live journal but.............

my wonderful sister, Donnie, passed away around 12:47pm today. she was much loved and will be sorely missed by most that knew her. she had been ill for some months but was much too young for this. she turned 60 last april. please consider sending your prayers of strength and comfort to my family and her son and grandchildren.

Wow!! i am so thankful and excited!! i just received notification that i passed my national test for the Pharmacy board!! i was actually unsure of the results since there's lots of hospital calculations on there (iv drip rates and compounding for chemo) but study and prayer surely paid off. Now going to go to work to celebrate!! huh? LOL

been a little while since i "really" updated. been busy but here we go......

VARF is into it's last wkend. Hither Dither and Yon will be performing and are looking forward to a great weekend. last weekend was soooooooo hot!!! i missed saturday but sunday made it through the whole thing. yeah.

exciting stuff happening for HDY. our second CD, La La Live from Hubba's, is selling wonderfully. we're so excited about it. so far it's in like 6 states!!! wow!! we're doing 7 faires this year in 4 different states. AND we've just opened up our online store for HDY t-shirts and such. you can find it at

linz is coming in tomorrow night to visit and for the last wkend of faire. thanks to my buddy for making that happen!!! (you know who you are) LOL she'll be here through monday evening. can't wait can't wait.

Hither Dither and Yon just got back from a long wkend at tenn ren. it was great!!! nice people, great site and omg crowds!!! we performed and performed and performed some more. we had such a good time. M ran into some friends from great lakes faire that she hadn't seen in years and had a wonderful reunion with them. wriothsley and effingham (bill and kit) traveled with us and that was fun too!! kit got to play a lot with the court and that suited him just fine. all in all it was a "keeper" of a wkend and we are looking forward to performing there again next year. on to varf and then carolina for HDY!!!

Hither dither and yon will be performing all 7 weekends at the Carolina Renaissance Festival http://www.royalfaires.com/carolina/default.asp?page=1 during the months of october and november 2008. we are so excited about this!! we just finished a fantastic weekend at the Hudson Valley May Faire in New Paltz, NY this past weekend. had a blast and made lots of new and exciting friends. we're off to the Tennessee Faire to perform memorial day weekend and then the 3 last weekends of VARF. new live CD will be back in a few days and that's exciting too. life is good!!!

yes i know it's spelled wrong. that's just a little extra happiness in the MUCH. LOL

took and PASSED my State Pharmacy Board exam today so now i'm officially a State Certified (certifiable LOL) Pharmacy Technician!!! next comes the Federal Pharmacy Board Exam and then i'll have my CPhT. it's not all easy but i'm having a blast. i found out that i'm pretty much dorky when it comes to learning all the latin medical stuff on scripts. geez........dave says "you've been an accountant most of your life and you're just now finding out that you're a dork?" gee thanks dave. LOL gotta love him.

will be going to FLA in a month with my supervisor to see linz for a weekend!! am really excited about that too. it'll be my mothers day present to me. spending mothers day with linz for the first time in 2, uh 3, no 2, well maybe 3 years. anyhow, a long time. more later.

we will be in concert that night and the most exciting part is that it is being recorded!!! we are cutting our second CD to be titled...... ....La La Live at Hubba's

our most requested song is the la la song and yes, it will be featured on this CD along with other songs you heard last year as well as some new ones that you've yet to hear. we would love to have you there. Steve, hubba's owner, has graciously offered to close the place and we have it exclusively so let's "pack the house". he'll still be open for business but just to those who are there for the fun of la la live.

LONG TIME no post. i know!!!

Just a quicky though.......

Hither Dither and Yon did a fantastic New Years Eve event in Vinton, VA for the Roanoke county parks and recreation program. it was a town event staged in different buildings and outdoors with the main street blocked completely to traffic from 5pm to after midnight. we did 4 shows as well as strolling and singing outside, in the casino and night club and got a tour of narnia. big dave, "mrs" maggie (melindas mom) and barb came with us as well as some very very good friends of HDY's from salem. what a GREAT time. we had a blast.

lindsey came home for christmas and that was the very best present i could have received!!! i had my family and both my kids here. life can't get any better than that!!

HDY is planning a live CD recording sometime in february and we're very excited about that. we're writing some new (and naughty) songs to share fun and laughter with.
